Good afternoon everyone!
My family recently returned from DisneyWorld where we spend 14 days with 80,000 of our closest friends. When we left on 2/29, we had no idea what the next two weeks would bring except fun.
I am immune-compromised, as is my middle son’s girlfriend (who was at Disney with us). In our family, we practiced good hygiene (washing hands whenever we could, or using hand sanitizer often), we tried to keep to ourselves and most of all, we covered our faces when we coughed, sneezed or expelled any thing from our faces. Unlike the many. many, many persons who didn’t wash hands and coughed and sneezed into my hair, or our faces or whatever (ya’ll are nasty and need to learn common curtesy).
My hubby and I choose to self-quarantine when we got home, to be on the safe side and not take a chance to spread this mess to anyone if we were carriers or if we in fact have it. Since my studio is at home and I am the only employee, I will work when I feel like it. Richard is on mandatory-work-fr0m-home until further notice. We are trying to make the boys understand what’s going on and how it relates to them, which I admit is a bit harder than I thought it would be.
Basically, my family is quarantined. I have told my parents that I am staying away from them because I love them and I don’t want anything to happen to them. I have told my children to stay away from them as well. Our city (Spring – 25 miles north of Houston) is one click close to shutting down, like all the other major cities in America. We are prepared, have no worries. I need to lose some weight anyway.
Please be safe. Don’t go anywhere if you don’t need to. Wash your hands and stay inside. Protect yourself as well as those who you love. I will be doing the same.
I amy brush up on my Podcasting and I will keep releasing “Tea with Linda” videos on the YouTube Channel for you to watch in the mean time. Let me know if you want me to try a certain tea or if you want to hear about anything in particular on the Podcast.
Be safe,
-Linda
