Prompt: What do you look forward to every week?

It’s going to sound weird, but I look forward to spending time with Richard every week.  We both work at home, but we don’t work together.  I leave him alone during the day, and he leaves me alone.  We may have lunch together, but that’s the extent of it.  In the evenings, we are busy; Monday, Wednesday & Thursday nights for me. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday night for him.  And most weekends he and the boys are off either at work or on a campout.  I don’t get to camp as much as I used to because of Fiona (who needs her meds), so I have a lot of “alone” time.

So I look forward to time with my Richard.   I know that our Scouting time is beginning it’s wind-down stage, so it’s okay.  And I will have the rest of my life with him, so that’s okay too.  I will admit to being jealous at times.  When I’ve not seen him for 5 days, nor spoken to him for 48 hours, I can get a little possessive with him when he gets home, but I’m sure you can understand why.  Or maybe that’s just me.

Is there anything else that I look forward to each week?  Hummmm….  I look forward to “Outlander”.  I am in love with Scotland, mostly the Highlands.  Richard and I went to Scotland to celebrate our 20th anniversary (back in 2014) and it was the most amazing 10 days of my life.  We flew in, rented a car and off we went.  We drove over 2000 miles and got to see so many awesome things, ruins, castles, forts, the coast, the mountains, fields of heather as far as the eye can see….  It even snowed on us at one time.  We were there in early March, so not all of the private homes were open.  That’s ok, it just means another trip back!  Everywhere we were, it was like home here in Texas.  Friendly people, great handshakes, and an openness that I’ve never felt anywhere but here at home.  We stayed at home incredible hotels, houses and manors.  We hiked up wet, rocky paths to the Fairy Pools and down city streets on the Royal Mile.  We watched tartans being made and men playing bagpipes.   So each week (when it’s airing), I look forward to seeing “Outlander” because it’s a Scottish based story that uses much of what we got to set foot on in it’s story.  That’s kinda a weak example, but it’s true.

Tell me, what do you look forward to?
