Prompt: Write about three realistic goals you would like to achieve in your lifetime.
I feel it’s necessary to break this down into three different areas. Personal, professional and whatever.
Professionally, I would like to become proficient at pottery, all aspects of it. Throwing, hand-building, glazing, painting etc. I know it takes time and practice to become proficient at any craft and I am looking forward to the challenge of being a porcelain only artist.
Personally, I would like to get to a place in my life where I am as close as I can be to being medication free. I do realize that given the issues that I have with my body, I will never be completely medication free, but I’d really like to be as close to it as possible. This will be a long term goal, as I have other demons to battle first (Sugar, or instance).
What is my “whatever” goal? I would like to be able to travel with Richard more and to many places. There are so many amazing and beautiful places to see in the world, and I want to see them all, with him at my side. Whether it be in an RV around the Americas’ or overseas in a rental car. I won’t say that I have a case of wanderlust, but this year (2017) was the first year that we, as a family, didn’t take a vacation where we packed up the RV and took off. Between the job change, the middle son working and Scouts, we just couldn’t make it work this time with, well, time. So I have that vacation itch that didn’t get scratched this year. That sounds really nasty and gross, but I hope you get what I mean. It’s a big, big world out there and I’ve not seen as much of it as I want to. That’s the lifetime goal. As long as it’s with my Richard. He makes life good.
What are some lifetime goals that you have?
